Recently I saw this meme floating around the internet. A snappy little play on words that so quickly cuts to the heart of what beauty is really all about.
Being yourself is tough. It is difficult to avoid so many of the negative influences in our society that tell us we are not enough or we are missing something.
So much of that negativity is absorbed and internalized at a young age that we really think it's true.
I'd like to think that photography is a way to help break people out of that mindset and see themselves in a new light as worthy, enough, and beautiful.
Nothing is more beautiful than a person who is confident in who they are, and nothing is more defiant in a society that preys upon your insecurities than embracing and loving your self and your own body.
That is why no two sessions are the same and why each session is uniquely empowering and uplifting. Every session is an opportunity to own what makes you feel confident and special and tell a different story that shares another layer of your personality, style, or creativity.
What makes you beautiful is being yourself unapologetically and confidently, and a photo session is a perfect platform to do just that. Without the fear of judgment or being made to feel less than.
For me personally, that has always been the sticking point when it comes to putting myself out there. I always worry that I am going to be judged harshly or made to feel like I am not enough. That is why I wanted to create an environment that was positive, open and welcoming to everyone.
No one else can be you. No one else can tell your story or the stories that are in your head, but you. Photography is a fantastic way to bring those visions to life in a safe, fun and uplifting way.
So dare to be yourself and dare to be,
